IATA Day

Meet the Airlines - IATA, together with key representatives of a number of its major airline members, will be discussing the challenges we are facing together as we implement many of the IATA programmes that have been outlined at previous PTE conferences. The airline speakers, together with representatives from the airports where they are working on these initiatives, will talk about how they perceive the implementation process, both the opportunities and the challenges.

Jurgen Renner, Manager – Consulting | Airport, Passenger, Cargo and Security (APCS), IATA, Canada

Speaker Biography: Jurgen has comprehensive experience in the aviation industry, particularly in strategic airport development and airport management. In more than 12 years of his professional career, he has participated in 50+ successful airport consultancy projects of various scales throughout the world. Working in IATA’s Consulting Department in Montreal, Jurgen is responsible for the management and delivery of airport infrastructure projects comprising planning and design and specific analyses such as capacity and level of service assessments. He is also IATA’s permanent member on the ICAO Aerodromes Panel, where new standards and recommended practices (SARPs) are being developed. Before joining IATA in 2009, Jurgen worked in Germany for the airport management company Hochtief AirPort. By leading the Technical Working Group, he was responsible for the detailed elaboration of all technical elements associated with HTA’s airport privatisation projects. Jurgen holds two university Master's degrees in Civil Engineering, and an MBA in International Management.
 
Uta Kohse, Managing Partner, Airport Research Center GmbH, Germany

Speaker Biography: Uta Kohse is Managing Partner at the Airport Research Center in Germany ans she has more than 16 years experience in the airport business. She covers many fields around airport planning and operation, such as development of airport concepts and process analysis, capacity assessment, analysis & optimisation, design and development of passenger flow simulation models. Furthermore she conducts research studies on future passenger handling processes. Uta is an expert of passenger flow simulation and leads project teams that test and validate future terminal designs, find and solve bottlenecks as well as to test and identify operational strategies that help airports to optimise existing terminal infrastructures.
