Speaker Biograghy: Curtis Fentress, FAIA, RIBA, is an internationally acclaimed architect with a design portfolio totalling over US$30 billion in architectural landmarks worldwide. With more than 52 million square feet of airport design experience, Fentress Architects has been at the forefront for over 30 years, having designed some of the world’s best airport terminals, including: ICN – 'Best Airport Worldwide' (ACI); DEN – 'America’s 4th Favorite Architectural Landmark' (AIA); LAX – Presidential Honoree for Building Team of the Year (AIA LA). Curtis has been honoured with over 450 awards and accolades for design excellence and innovation. The American Institute of Architects selected him to receive the highest award for public architecture, the Thomas Jefferson Award, making him the first airport architect to be honoured with this prestigious award. Personal fact: Curt has flown over three million miles in his career!

Synopsis: Los Angeles World Airports and Fentress Architects bring back the glamour era of air travel at the new Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, through a remarkable partnership that fuses iconic design with the latest digital technologies, and sets a global standard. The integrated environmental media system (IEMS) is the first media system to synchronise multiple features, combining live data, flight information and traveller interactions into the airport environment. The media features are seamlessly integrated within building surfaces to create an immersive experience at key moments along the arrival and departure itineraries, communicating the values and treasures of Los Angeles.
