09:05 - 09:30 - Separation before transformation at Stansted Airport
Synopsis: Following the £1.5bn purchase of London Stansted from BAA by MAG in January 2013, one of the immediate priorities became establishing standalone IT operations at STN. This was to enable business-as-usual operations to continue while separating quickly and efficiently. Ensuring operational continuity for STN and MAG throughout this process was key. Separating 66 systems from the BAA IT estate, including key operational and financial platforms, called for a focused and well-governed approach to create a simplified platform for transformation into the future.
