17:00 - 17:30 - Airports in transition
Synopsis: Airports are facing a huge deficit in infrastructural funding against a market of growing customer demand. The public sector is looking to privatisation and concessions to mitigate this deficit. This session will focus on the multiplicity of solutions currently available to airports in meeting market demand, and the impacts that these solutions can have on culture, management focus and operational logistics. Responses to market demands range from airport private-sector transactions and concession holdings to increasing non-aeronautical revenues, infrastructural and operational efficiencies.
