Joseph Suidan - PANEL CHAIR, Head of Ground Operations, IATA, Canada

Speaker Biograghy: Joseph joined IATA in July 2008 as Assistant Director, ISAGO. In 2011 he became Head of Ground Operations at IATA, having under his remit the AHM (Airport Handling Manual and IGOM (IATA Ground Operations Manual). Before joining IATA, Joseph spent close to seven years as Airport Manager Canada for Austrian Airlines. Prior to that, he served as Regional Manager Sales and Services and Head of Toronto and Montreal Stations for Royal Jordanian Airlines for 17 years. During these years of service, Joseph worked very closely with the commercial and industry affairs departments of various airlines, regulators and airport authorities of Canada, Austria and Jordan. Joseph has served extensively on various conferences and committees during his years with the airline industry. He was also a Member of the AOC (Airline Operating Committee) for 10 years in Canada.

Synopsis: Introductory presentation followed by roundtable on how the various IATA ground operations activities – AHM, IGOM, GDDB and ISAGO – are implemented by key stakeholders, and the benefit integration of all available solutions can bring. The audience will gain an understanding of the benefits of the IATA integrated solutions. The audience will understand the industry benefits arising from implementation of IATA Integrated Solution for Ground Operations. Integration and global implementation of Airport Handling Manual, IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM) and IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) and Ground Damage Database (GDDB) offer a unique solution on how to effectively manage risks in ground operations via: • Standardised procedures and performance • Reduced work complexity and consistent turnaround times • Decreasing training time
