Speaker Biograghy: Fredrik is Head of Safety Management and Public Affairs, Swedavia, Stockholm Arlanda Airport. His areas of responsibility include aviation safety, risk management, quality assurance and public affairs. He is also a member of the executive body, Aviation Safety Officer of Stockholm Arlanda Airport. and Deputy Airport Director. Prior to his current role he was Coordinator at the Swedish Association of Local and Regional Authorities for the 32 municipal and private airports in Sweden. In this function he participated as a member of: Swedish Government Aviation Council, National Security Committee, National Facilitation Committee, Swedish Aviation Environmental Council. He was also an Engineering Consultant at ÅF Industries in Sweden. Fredrik has an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering with a major in Aerodynamics from The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

16:00 - 16:30 - Connect Sweden: Building a Scandinavian Hub through stakeholder cooperation
Synopsis: During the autumn of 2013 Connect Sweden was launched as cooperation between private and public stakeholders with a common goal to increase accessibility to Sweden. The cooperation covers all main parts of Swedish society and will be an important tool to pinpoint which new routes are desired by the community and possible to operate with good profitability for the airlines. Through this widened stakeholder engagement Sweden can play a more active role to promote new traffic and establish Stockholm Arlanda Airport as a major hub in Scandinavia.

10:05 - 10:35 - Towards zero carbon emissions in 2020
Synopsis: Stockholm Arlanda Airport was the first airport in the world to receive the highest ACA ranking (3+, neutrality), but ambition doesn’t stop there. By 2020 all fossil carbon emissions from the airport operations will be reduced to zero. The presentation will cover the main challenges the airport faces to reach this goal, and what has been done so far. The focus of the presentation is energy savings.
