Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd

Speaker Biograghy: Ian joined Virgin Atlantic back in 1995 as a check-in agent following roles in both ground handling and security. He soon went on to hold various customer facing positions including Duty Manager at London Heathrow. In 2001 Ian joined the head office team in Crawley, working on a project with the Home Office (he would tell you about that but he’d have to kill you). He then went on to become the lead in self-service products, developing the Kiosk and Online Check-in applications, Home Printed and Mobile Boarding Passes. For his sins he’s now the business owner of Virgin Atlantic’s self-service products, Tablet Check-in, Boarding Passes and agent facing applications. If that weren't enough, he’s also jointly responsible for developing the strategy for airport solutions. Ian is part of the Innovations Team and so can also be charged with helping develop ideas and products, such answerable technology and use of Apple Passbook/iBeacons, that enhance the customer journey.
