Tony, Chung Li Yu, Manager, Taoyuan International Airport Corportation Ltd., Taiwan

Speaker Biograghy: Tony is the Manager of the Business Department of Taoyuan International Airport Corporation Ltd. As the substitute for General Manager, the Head of Department, he has been involved in most parts of the Business Department's tasks, such as business tender bidding, parking garage outsourcing management and CIQS services coordination. Tony is responsible for several projects, including the Terminal 1 refurbishment project, signage system remodelling project and IHR (International Health Regulations) Core Capacity Development project. In these different projects, Tony had to coordinate with many other units in the airport, be a part of engineering meetings and contribute his professional knowledge of transportation.

12:25 - 12:55 - New terminal is too late for passenger explosion?
Synopsis: Airports need to build new terminals to meet future passenger needs. But what if the passenger growth rate is greater than expected or if the new terminal project is delayed? We need an emergency short-term plan to deal with those kinds of situations. That is exactly what Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport faced. We are planning Terminal 3, but the booming cross-strait (China) passengers will outgrow Terminal 2. We will share what we did to maintain level of service and even turn disadvantage to advantage.
