Speaker Biograghy: Markus has a degree in Computer Science from Darmstadt University of Technology. He joined the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in 2003, working in the field of biometrics and electronic travel documents, especially regarding design and implementation of the German e-passport and the German national electronic ID card. Since 2011 Markus has been Head of the Inspection Infrastructures section at BSI. He is responsible for border control systems based on biometrics and electronic travel documents, and is in charge of the German national Public Key Directory.
