15:05 - 15:30 - Airport integrated control and command for efficient airport operations
Synopsis: Modern airports require a viable, sustainable operations control and command structure to manage communications and to respond effectively to incidents and security-related events. Many airports still function in multiple silos and fragmented operation centres that invariably create fundamental issues relative to internal organisation coordination and responsiveness of decision makers to events. An integrated airport control and command centre is a critical first step to effectively manage a modern airport; however, such an endeavour requires a comprehensive plan that defines how people, processes and technologies will function in a consolidated airport control and command environment.
