Philippe Bosc, ADPM Project Director/MATAR Acting CEO, PPMDC/MATAR/Aéroports de Paris Management, Saudi Arabia

Speaker Biograghy: Philippe joined Aéroports de Paris in 1992. Throughout his career he has developed his know-how in France, in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and has gained extensive knowledge in airport planning and design, construction work interface, airport operations and new terminal facilities commissioning (ORAT). Since 2012 he has been based in Jeddah, and has been involved in Hajj Terminal Operation & Management with PPMDC. As an architect, Philippe has supervised design and works in Qatar and Brunei, and been in charge of airport programmes and masterplans in Paris. Philippe was Sharm el Sheikh Airport Director, in charge of Airport Operation and ORAT for the new terminal. He has been in charge of the strategic relations with Amsterdam Schiphol through the Hublink Alliance, managing the joint development of innovative airport services. Philippe has been Project Director, involved in concession and management contracts in various countries.

15:05 - 15:30 - Terminal Hajj operation in Jeddah, KSA
Synopsis: In 2005, the Saudi authorities decided to improve the Hajj Terminal facilities of King Abdulaziz International Airport, in Jeddah, KSA, in order to increase the level of service offered to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Since 2007, the Ports Projects Management & Development Company has operated the Hajj Terminal on behalf of the General Authority of Civil Aviation together with Aéroports de Paris Management. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the unique and very specific Terminal Hajj Operation which, thanks to the excellent cooperation with and from all government bodies, appears to be a successful public-private partnership in airport operation.
