Speaker Biograghy: Rachel currently works as Senior Planner in Fingal, Dublin. She previously worked in senior planning positions in the public and private sector. She is a past president of the Irish Planning Institute and has continued her involvement with the Institute as well as a number of National Environmental Boards. Since commencing employment with Fingal, development of the national airport in respect of its aviation and commercial objectives has been a key area of responsibility.

Synopsis: The presentation will include an overview of the Irish planning context specific to Dublin airport. There will also be an overview of the key stakeholders, potentially conflicting aspirations for the area and how we endeavoured to build consensus and agree a final plan for the airport, in particular new commercial aspirations as sought by the airport authority.
