Speaker Biograghy: Ray assumed the position of Director for Business Development in Europe as of 1 January 2015, with responsibility for growth of the SITA iBorders portfolio in the European region. Previously Ray was Director of Global Business Development for Automated Border Control solutions within the SITA Government Solutions Line (GSL) since August 2013, with responsibility for expanding the ABC eGate and kiosk business. He was responsible for leading the establishment of SITA’s Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosk business in the USA in conjunction with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Prior to joining SITA, Ray headed ARINC’s EMEA Government and Security business for seven years to August 2012, with the management of ARINC’s Advance Passenger Information (API and PNR) systems; he headed the EMEA Network Solutions Division from July 2005 to July 2007. Ray has over 29 years of experience in the aviation and government sectors, and IT and communications industry, with 16 years at British Telecom. Throughout his ICT career, Ray has managed a number of global programmes, covering USA, UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific at various points, most recently in the USA with APC.
