Speaker Biograghy: Palmina is a Senior Manager at American Airlines. Since she took over the lead for American Airlines, she has managed over US$1bn worth of capital construction at JFK, LGA, BOS and EWR Airports, impacting nearly two million square feet of space both on air and land sides. She is an experienced company leader with expertise in private and public sectors for the aviation and construction industry, and over 15 years of design, construction, construction management and programme management experience for aviation, retail fitout, education and institutional projects. Currently Palmina is heralding in the first integrated project delivery in North America for the aviation industry. Palmina’s dedication to the construction industry and the built environment is evident in her involvement with the various industry associations. She was honoured at the Top Women in Business Awards & Networking event by Queens Business, as one of the influential women in business in the Borough of Queens, NY. She currently sits on the Technical Committees for the development of the LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Programme and Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A Redevelopment. Palmina also sits on the National Board of Directors and is the International Vice Chair for the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) International Committee. As an ardent industry practitioner, she is focused on building strong collaboration within the industry, both domestically and internationally.
