He has experience as a special firearms officer, and 30 years’ diverse experience within the territorial police force. His recent experience demonstrates a successful track record within Special Branch, dealing with sensitive issues of national security and counterterrorism within a busy international airport. He delivers regular presentations and workshops on the topic of aviation security to international audiences and delegates across the globe, as an accomplished public speaker and communicator (as well as having achieved publication of written work). A natural leader and organiser, he is adept at motivating multiple teams of inter-disciplinary personnel, employing keen problem-solving ability to develop proactive policies for strategic operation and effective change. Above all, he relishes the healthy challenge of a fast-paced, dynamic working environment, and the opportunity to learn new skills.

Synopsis: How prepared are you? If you think you are, you're not. Community security awareness and reporting combined with intelligence gathering will create a security culture where everyone plays a part in security at a low cost, preventing and protecting, reducing the risk and vulnerability, integrated with SeMS. In times of crisis, having an informed workforce combined with technology will lead to a prepared state to assist in dealing with a terrorist incident or one involving serious organised crime. Having a community communications platform and an essential communications platform will provide that link towards a holistic approach to security.
