Speaker Biograghy:
Dr Nektarios Psycharis is Supervisor Business Intelligence within the IT&T Business Unit at Athens International Airport, Greece. He holds a BSc in Physics from Athens University, an MSc in Computational Physics from Durham University, UK, and a PhD in Computational Physics from Glasgow University, UK. Currently he leads the Business Intelligence team at Athens International Airport, and has developed considerable experience with business intelligence and requirements analysis, as well as project management within an airport environment. Moreover, he has delivered consulting services in a number of airports such as Warsaw, Budapest and Lisbon, acting as a senior consultant in the areas of IT&T strategy, IT&T architecture and IT&T programme management.

- The digital passenger and the airport info-hub
Synopsis: The presentation focuses on the digital channels through which the passenger interacts with the airport, and the corresponding data that can be utilised by the airport operator in many different ways. Therefore, the concept of the airport's Big Data will be addressed, indicating the data/information utilisation based on different business cases, such as e-parking.
Audience will learn:
- Identify the access channels that the digital passenger utilises nowadays
- Realise the different source of information an airport handles and how this could be integrated
- Identify the pieces of information referring to individual passengers rather than group/categories of passengers
- Realise different business cases based on a specific airports' Big Data concepts
