Day 2 - 16 March
Session:
Airport Design, Planning & Development

14:00 - 14:25 - Maximising existing data and technology to improve the passenger experience
Synopsis: With the continued growth of the commercial airline industry, expansion of facilities to accommodate this growth is not always an option. There are often financial as well as space constraint challenges. The impacts of this growth can be felt through customer service, facility maintenance and accelerated lifecycle use. Through the marriage of existing asset data, design documentation/BIM and technology solutions, it is possible to create an interactive, immersive approach to managing airport facilities. This provides an avenue for proactive, not reactive, facility maintenance programmes that can improve the passenger experience and prolong the life of existing facilities.
