Speaker Biograghy: As ADPI’s Vice President for Architecture and Engineering Claire leads the Architectural Competition and Consulting teams involved in ADPI's mega terminals designs as well as concessions and public-private partnerships (PPP). With a double background in Architecture and Engineering, she has worked in the development of passenger terminals and other airport buildings for the last 25 years. She has held project management and design management positions, with significant experience in overseas projects as ADPI’s Chief Engineering Project Manager for the development and construction of Oman’s new international airports at Muscat and Salalah. As Project Manager for the Paris-CDG Airport automatic people mover, she directed the design, construction and operational startup of the inter-terminal system. Specialised in complex structural and building envelope design, she started her career working for Peter Rice before joining Paul Andreu’s team at Aéroports de Paris.

Synopsis: A new generation of airports: mega-terminals represent a new generation of airport development demanding a quantitative leap in dimensioning as well as a creative leap in planning and design. Through Aéroports de Paris' recent designs for mega-terminals (notably Jeddah 30 Mpax, 80 MPax ultimate; Bejing 45MPax, 100 MPax ultimate; Dubai 120 MPax, 240 Mpax ultimate) key issues in mega-terminal design will be presented as well as the logistical infrastructure that supports the mega-terminal: ground transport, terminal processor, satellite, passenger flow separation, APM, retail, apron, logistics and information systems.
