Speaker Biograghy: Palmina is the Managing Director of Real Estate & Facilities for American Airlines, Corporate Real Estate division and is responsible for managing major airport capital improvement projects in Dallas, and the northeast and central regions of the USA. She is an accomplished leader with over 15 years’ experience in design, construction, construction management and programme management for the private and public sectors of the aviation and construction industries. Palmina’s dedication to construction and the built environment is evident in her involvement with distinct industry associations. She was honoured at the Top Women in Business Awards & Networking Event as one of the Top Influential Women in Business in the borough of Queens, NY; Certificate of Achievement – US House of Representatives, Citation of Honour – Office of the President, borough of Queens; City Council Citation – The Council of the City of New York. She currently sits on the Technical Committees for the Aviation Master Program and has successfully executed multiple integrated project delivery (IPD) construction projects in North America for the aviation industry. As an ardent industry practitioner, Palmina is focused on building a strong collaboration within the airline construction industry, both domestically and internationally. In her participation as Vice Chair of the CMAA International Committee, she was instrumental in creating business alliances with international organisations such as CIOB, CMAK and CMAS.

IPD is a project delivery approach that integrates owners, architects and contractors into a process that collaboratively harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to optimise project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste and maximise efficiency through all phases of design and construction.
