Synopsis: A new generation of airports: mega-terminals represent a new generation of airport development demanding a quantitative leap in dimensioning as well as a creative leap in planning and design. Through AĆ©roports de Paris' recent designs for mega-terminals (notably Jeddah 30 Mpax, 80 MPax ultimate; Bejing 45MPax, 100 MPax ultimate; Dubai 120 MPax, 240 Mpax ultimate) key issues in mega-terminal design will be presented as well as the logistical infrastructure that supports the mega-terminal: ground transport, terminal processor, satellite, passenger flow separation, APM, retail, apron, logistics and information systems.
