Speaker Biograghy: Sean holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Technology Management. He has over a decade of experience in airport IT support, operations and management and is currently the IT Manager for Customer Experience Programs at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA). The GTAA is the operator of Canada’s largest airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport, processing over 40 million passengers a year and 60 million by 2030. In his role, Sean has worked on several million-dollar IT integration and passenger-facing technology implementations to improve facility capacity, minimise connection times and improve the overall passenger experience at Toronto Pearson.

Synopsis: As Canada's largest and North America’s second largest international airport, Toronto Pearson welcomed over 40 million passengers in 2015 and is a key North American hub airport. In 2013, 45% of all traffic was international connections, which are anticipated to grow to 55% by 2030. To minimise connection times, ensure smooth passenger flow and an excellent passenger experience, Toronto Pearson has implemented several IT systems. The presentation will profile several critical IT implementations, integrations and lessons learned through the International to Domestic (ITD), Automated Passport Control (APC), Baggage Identification Weight and Image System (BIWIS) and Security in Advance (SIA) initiatives.
