Speaker Biograghy: Abhilash heads the IT Commercial Department at Gatwick Airport and is accountable for IT commercial strategy, customer relationship, business development, innovative solutions, supplier engagement, IT budget and the IT project governance framework. He has more than 22 years' experience in IT, including 19 years in aviation IT. Before moving to London in 2013, he spent four years with Abu Dhabi Airport Company and 13 years with Emirates Airlines. He started his career in 1993 as a software engineer after completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering.

Synopsis: At Gatwick, we recently launched the Airport Community app to deliver up-to-date information to the entire workforce at Gatwick, regardless of which company they work for (airline, ground handler, retailer, hotel, etc.). In short, the Airport Community app will help everyone be in tune with the airport and deliver better passenger experience. Instead of developing a custom app for Gatwick, we worked with an app developer to create a generic Airport Community app that can be used in any airport in the world.
