Speaker Biograghy: Michael is a 28-year veteran of the Port Authority of NY & NJ. He became GM of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in June 2014, and is responsible for a staff of 500 and an operating budget of US$300m. He directs the safety, security and efficiency of daily operations as well as development at JFK, one of the world’s best-known and busiest airports. He previously managed LaGuardia Airport's Physical Plant and Redevelopment Division, where he led development efforts including the Port Authority's public-private partnership plan to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a replacement Terminal B. He has also worked in the agency’s Aviation Planning, Technical Services, and Properties Development divisions, and at all three of the agency's major metropolitan airports. He is a graduate of Manhattan College, where he earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering. He also has an MBA from Dowling College.

Synopsis: Michael Moran, General Manager, John F. Kennedy International Airport for The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, will present an overview of the current multi-billion-dollar capital programme for the agency’s aviation facilities, which include John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia, Stewart International and Teterboro airports. This system, the busiest in the United States with more than 123 million air passengers in 2015, is undergoing extensive redevelopment, with construction of new terminals and related infrastructure recently completed, under way, or in planning across the system.
