Speaker Biograghy: Christian has extensive experience in developing solutions in the context of business analytics. He is in charge of enhancing the BI platform to implement high-availability and high-performance requirements at Frankfurt Airport. His focus is on the landside processes of airport operations, including security, passenger behaviour and retailing. He helped design a solution to predict passenger flows inside the terminals, and is project manager for the companywide Smart Data Lab initiative.

Synopsis: The challenge for an airport is always to communicate changes, whether infrastructure, resources or others, quickly and available in time for a large group of users. With the collaborative platform at Frankfurt Airport it is now possible to work on all infrastructural and other influencing changes in advance, evaluate them and share this information with operational systems. This ensures operational people are always up to date with the latest and actual information available regarding passenger flows and the use of facilities.
