Andrew Thomas, Partner, Grimshaw, UK

Speaker Biograghy: Andrew is a Partner at Grimshaw and has been instrumental in building the practice’s aviation portfolio. His early work encompassed a broad range of sectors, including workplace, transport and culture. Notable projects include the Core and Foundation buildings at the Eden Project and the early design stages of the Fulton Center in New York. More recently he was responsible for the early design stages of a new terminal design and masterplan for Pulkovo Airport in St Petersburg, Russia, and also led the Grimshaw team in developing concept designs for the Istanbul New Airport. Andrew has a longstanding relationship with Heathrow, and led the delivery of the £650m Terminal 2B project. He continues his work with Heathrow having led the successful bid for Grimshaw to be appointed concept architects for the future vision of the airport.
