Ned Farmer, Geopolitical Risk Manager, American Airlines, USA

Speaker Biograghy: In his role as Geopolitical Risk Manager, Ned designed and implemented the geopolitical risk and intelligence analysis programme at American Airlines, the largest airline in the world. Ned manages the assessment and dissemination of threat intelligence, to mitigate security and political risks to American operations worldwide. Ned previously worked at Shell, as the Americas Security Analyst, where he was responsible for assessing security risks to Shell’s operations throughout the Western Hemisphere. Ned has also worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, the US Congress and Morgan Stanley. His graduate coursework focused on terrorism, specifically radicalisation among Muslim immigrants in Europe. Ned received his BA in Political Science from McGill University in Montreal and his MA in International Affairs from American University in Washington, DC. He also studied at the Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
