Speaker Biograghy: Sebastian joined the airline industry in 1987, rendering his services at different companies and at different airports as a Passenger Service Agent, Turnaround Coordinator, Ground Operations Duty Officer, Flight Operations Agent, Flight Operations Officer and Station Manager. Since 2005 he has been in charge of ground operations standards at the Spanish carrier Air Europa. Within the scope of his duties, he designs all ground operations-related procedures; assists the alliances department in the development of code share agreements; acts as one of the airline CROs; sets the training requirements for ground personnel; gives support to the compliance monitoring department as inspector and auditor, and leads the Safety Action Group – Ground Operations. Beyond Air Europa, Sebastian also participates in the SkyTeam Airport Services Training & Communications Working Group and in the SkyTeam Ground Safety Working Group.

10:05 - 10:35 - Airports and airline PRM training – how to gain efficiencies
Synopsis: We will discuss the benefits of how airline and airport PRM training not only benefits the customer (PRM) but also airline and airport staff. We will focus on how the PRM charges at airports should be used to focus on effective recurrent training that includes soft skills to educate the airport and airline employee to know what type of assistance is necessary for the PRMs and how to effectively deliver the service. Soft-skills PRM training increases efficiency to include: cost savings/more service with fewer staff; cost savings/reduce the potential of government fines; increased revenue/better customer service to the PRMs; increased revenue/business for airport/ airlines.
