Speaker Biograghy:
Bjørn Olav has been involved in and led a number of Nordic’s Scandinavian airport projects. He has experience in all phases of airport planning from masterplanning through to detail design. He was the Design Director for the award-winning Oslo Airport expansion, also known as the T2 project. Bjørn Olav is now managing the Nordic team working with Stockholm Airport Arlanda.

Synopsis: The Oslo Airport expansion is an example of Scandinavian design at its best. As a fully integrated expansion, the new pier builds on the original design of the airport, using familiar materials in new ways to create a distinct and evolved identity. It is the first airport in the world to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating and features exciting new design and technology. The shape and spatial arrangement make it extremely efficient, increasing the airport’s capacity from 19 to 30 million passengers per year, with additional potential to increase capacity to 36 million passengers.
