Speaker Biograghy: Gelare has over 17 years' experience as an Architect and Associate. She is responsible for client relationships and project delivery of major airport projects, and is currently collaborating closely with airport authorities and officials on various major airport projects across North America. Believing in integrated design and fascinated by airports, she has made it her mission to transform airports into engaging and inspiring public places. She has also concentrated her career path on the passenger experience and user experience design. As an internationally orientated professional, she has worked in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Her mission is to use innovative design to bring back the joy and fantasy of travel to airport design. Personal fact: She loves to travel, meet new people and ski.

Synopsis: Digital transformation is the latest buzzword that everyone is using in the airport world, but what does it really mean? Can vendors really sell digital transformation to airports? Can airports buy the latest and greatest technology to improve the passenger experience? This is not the path that Toronto Pearson took in its digital transformation programme. Digital transformation is not the what, it's the how. It is about finding the right partners and building the processes that help in creating, enabling and transforming the airport in a smart, forward-thinking way. We will share our story of how we did it differently.
