Frank Smith, Chair, ENLETS Mobile - EU working group on law enforcement mobiles, UK

Speaker Biograghy: Frank spent a career in the UK Home Office gaining broad insight into policy, working with Ministers (Private Secretary to the Immigration Minister); technology, including biometrics, mobile, encryption and passport security; international issues; and front-line operations, particularly in relation to law enforcement. Since ‘retiring’ he has continued to chair the EU working group on mobile solutions for law enforcement, ENLETS Mobile; and is an adviser to the Secure Identity Alliance (SIA), where he was the lead author in 2017 of an SIA overview of border security, ‘Strong Identity, Strong Borders’. Frank continues to take a keen interest in developments across the areas of technology, business and law enforcement. He is a technology and business ‘multi-national’, helping to bring different parts of the jigsaw puzzle together to solve problems and overcome differences.
