Karan Singh, Head of Aviation Security Risk Management, Lufthansa Group, Germany

Speaker Biograghy: Karan studied Aviation Management before he started his career with the Lufthansa Group in Dubai in 2006 as Ground Operations Manager MENA. In this position he gained experience with ground operations, being responsible for further improvements to the quality of more than 30 stations. In 2008 he moved to Germany to improve the passenger processes and relationship with authorities to ease travel from/via Munich at Lufthansa's second biggest hub. In 2012 he joined the team of the Chief Officer Group Airlines & Logistics in Frankfurt. Since 2015 Karan has been part of the aviation security community. He leads aviation security risk management within the Lufthansa Group. To minimise the risks for the company he focuses on analysing the global security situation, evaluating its possible implications and arranging the necessary counter measures.

Synopsis: This panel consists of tenured airline security leadership from several European and US carriers to provide a global perspective on security in the transportation system, impacts to the customers and what aviation stakeholders need to know. Meet airline security leaders from Lufthansa, Finnair, American, Delta and United who will present a discussion on striking the balance between customer service and security in the current environment. There will be an open question and answer session at the end of the panel discussion.
