Speaker Biograghy: Phil directs a new team at American Airlines focused on exploring new technologies and how they can help the company's employees and customers. Prior to this new role, he headed up the mobile application development and strategy for American. He has more than 20 years' IT experience, focusing on the mobile space for the past 10 years. Phil joined American’s mobility team in 2010 and helped make the airline the first in the industry to deliver native customer applications on all the major mobile platforms. Prior to American, he worked at several startups, specialising in mobile user-generated content. At American, Phil and his team have become leaders in the mobility space by developing useful tools that provide customers with the information they need, when they need it on their mobile devices. From checking in for flights and retrieving mobile boarding passes, to using wearables like the Apple Watch for flight status notifications, to providing real-time terminal map navigation, the team puts helpful tools at the customers' fingertips to improve their travel experience.
